Power and Propulsion Element

Moon//High-power electric propulsion

The Power and Propulsion Element will provide power, maneuvering, attitude control, communications systems and initial docking capabilities for NASA's lunar Gateway. The Gateway is a spaceship in orbit around the moon that will provide access to more of the lunar surface than ever before, enabling a sustainable human presence.

PPE will be integrated and launched with the Habitat and Logistics Outpost (HALO) module. Once launched, PPE will immediately begin work by tugging HALO to lunar orbit.
